Day 3 started with sunny skies and dispositions. Everyone had rested over night and were ready for another GREAT DAY on Route 66 !!!
They lined up to follow George...
to a section of old route 66 it's amazing to see how narrow the road was.
It went on for miles.
and was in great condition
We parked for a few minutes for some photos of the old road.
Next was the historic....
Pryor Creek Bridge...
that we road across to get to....
Totem Pole Park where Willie and Jim our Harley riders from Ireland became part of the display.
The creator of Totem Pole Park was also a talented wood worker.
Remaining pieces of wooden art and his hand carved fiddles can be seen at the gift shop.

George led us to the Will Rogers Memorial. Look at the lenght of our line of motorcycles. When we are all together it is nearly 1.5 miles. The headlights can be seen for miles.
The Blue Whale in Catoosa is a crowd favorite...
The legend says after viewing the whale anyone passing under the kissing whales feels compelled to kiss..

Hooray !! The rock Cafe is rebuilt
and serving meals again after last years devastating fire...
Everyone seemed to be happy to be back..
the food was just what we needed
to fuel us for the rest of the days ride.
Newbies scanned the fire singed menu's...
while the old timers just ordered their favorites.
Rose tried to hide her helmet hair...
and while it was contagious Pat was a few years late trying hide his helmet "skin" ???

Next year make sure you have at least and hour to visit
On to the Arcadia round barn
the views inside are terrific...
The restoration went for this..
to this. it's hard to imagine the hours spent restoring the barn.
a stop at Pops
where you can fill up your tank...
and find almost any soda pop you would like to drink.
On to Lucilles. This place has become a place for us to reflect on those who rode the Mother Road Rally and aren't here to ride anymore.
We arrived in Clinton our stop for tonight. Many of us freshen up then
visit The Route 66 Museum
the tour and movie showing the costruction of Route 66 is a must see.
so take a few minutes..
